The Person Behind Saiful Islam
An educator, entrepreneur, writer, content creator, and traveler building ethical initiatives, sharing thoughtful reflections, and exploring the world through the discipline of faith-conscious living.
“আমার গোলাপে বারুদ,প্রেমে জিহাদ,কামনায় শাহাদাত আর মঞ্জিলে মাকসাদ কেবলই জান্নাত।”
— সাইফুল ইসলামWhere I Started, and What Anchors My Work
My path did not begin with grandiose business formulas or an urge to chase internet virality. It began with quiet curiosity, a handful of books, and an earnest desire to build things that matter. Growing up with modest means [TODO: personal detail on formative upbringing], I developed a deep appreciation for honest labor, self-reliance, and the immense responsibility carried by those who speak or teach in public.
Entrepreneurship, for me, became a vehicle for independence and moral accountability. Through ventures like Sunnahloy and Ar Rihlah Tours And Travels, I sought to prove that business does not need to compromise ethics to thrive. An enterprise can honor fair dealing, practice radical honesty with clients, and treat customers not as conversion metrics, but as human beings entrusted to our care.
As I built ventures, writing and teaching emerged as natural extensions. Through Ruhama Institute and my independent essays, I discovered the profound fulfillment of sharing beneficial knowledge. We live in an era overwhelmed with noise but starving for depth. Writing helps me distill complex thoughts into moral clarity; teaching allows me to pass on practical digital skills to ambitious young minds without charging extortionate fees or making hollow promises.
Traveling across various landscapes, mountain villages, and historical trade routes [TODO: personal detail on favorite expedition] cemented this worldview. Walking through ancient places teaches an unforgettable lesson: empires crumble, trends evaporate, and worldly arrogance looks utterly tiny against the vastness of creation. What endures is sincerity, goodness done for others, and the quiet remembrance of our Creator.
How I Live and Work
Non-negotiable ethical anchors that govern every partnership, venture, and written word.
1. Honesty & Amanah in Commerce
No inflated claims, no hidden markups, and no manipulative marketing tricks. We treat every client, pilgrim, and student transaction as a sacred trust that will be accounted for.
2. Learning with Purpose ('Ilm Nafi')
Information without righteous implementation breeds conceit. I prioritize beneficial knowledge—understandings that sharpen character, improve craftsmanship, and directly uplift human lives.
3. Measurable Benefit to Others
The true measure of a man is not how much attention he commands, but how much tangible value he leaves behind in the hearts and livelihood of his community.
4. Gratitude & Modesty (Shukr & Tawadu')
Recognizing that every intellect, connection, and success is a loan from the Almighty. Humility in triumph, patience under tribulation, and gratitude in all conditions.
